LE NOUVEAU FORUM ÉCONOMIQUE ET CULTUREL
DES MUSIQUES ACTUELLES DU MONDE
Face aux nouveaux enjeux d’un secteur culturel éprouvé par la crise de la COVID-19, le forum international BABEL MUSIC XP place Marseille au coeur des musiques actuelles du monde.
Avec ses concerts ouverts au grand public et ses rencontres professionnelles autour de l’innovation et de l’économie, cette manifestation portée par Latinissimo et le réseau Zone Franche signe le grand retour au Dock des Suds d’un rendez-vous dédié à la filière musicale. En fédérant les acteurs économiques et culturels, BABEL MUSIC XP se présente comme ce lieu d’échange et de partage où s’élaborent les nouvelles formes de collaboration dans un écosystème en proie à de multiples mutations.
Cet événement voit le jour en deux temps, avec une première phase de préfiguration mêlant tables rondes, conférences et concerts les 26 et 27 novembre 2020, puis le forum BABEL MUSIC XP dans sa pleine expression du 25 au 27 mars 2021 avec un salon international, des rencontres professionnelles et une sélection de 30 groupes élaborée par un jury indépendant.
Les soirs, le Dock des Suds se transforme ainsi en festival global pour les professionnels et le grand public avec une programmation dense et défricheuse qui donne le pouls de la création musicale planétaire.
Au carrefour de l’économie, de la culture et de l’innovation, le forum international BABEL MUSIC XP propose une nouvelle expérience dans une dynamique de relance et de solidarité pour tous les acteurs des musiques de la diversité.

THE NEW CULTURAL & ECONOMIC FORUM
ON CURRENT WORLD MUSIC
In the light of current challenges affecting the cultural sector sorely tested by the Covid-19 Crisis, the BABEL MUSIC XP International Forum will put Marseille firmly at the heart of the new world music scene.
With concerts for the public and professional meetings on innovation and economic issues, this event, brought to you by Latinissimo and the Zone Franche network, marks a triumphant return to the Dock des Suds which will host the musical part of the programme. By bringing together key actors in the music industry and the economy, BABEL MUSIC XP will provide a space for exchanging and sharing ideas and developing new forms of collaboration in a landscape undergoing huge changes.
This event will take place at two points in the year : first on 26-27 November 2020 for the preliminary phase with a mixture of round tables, conferences and concerts, then on 25-27 March 2021, the main BABEL MUSIC XP Forum, an international trade fair with professional meetings and a programme of 30 groups selected by an independent jury.
In the evenings, the Dock des Suds will turn into a global festival for professionals and the public with a rich, innovative programme of concerts at the cutting edge of world music.
At the crossroads of finance, culture and innovation the International BABEL MUSIC XP Forum offers a new experience aimed at championing a cultural relaunch and promoting solidarity for everyone in the music industry in all its diverse forms.
